This Privacy Policy explains how IceWrite (“IceWrite,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and the IceWrite AI Humanizer and AI Detector (collectively, the “Service”). IceWrite is a service operated by Gigantic Apps. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Account information
IceWrite uses passwordless sign-in. When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile details Google shares (name and email). We do not collect or store passwords. You may optionally add a display name.
Content you submit
When you use the Humanizer or Detector, the text you submit is processed to produce a result (a humanized rewrite or an AI-likelihood score). Humanizer runs are saved to your account history so you can revisit them; Detector scans are processed but not stored as documents. You can delete saved documents at any time from within the app.
Usage and billing data
We record usage events needed to operate the Service — for example, the number of words you humanize, so we can enforce plan limits and show your usage. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are handled by our third-party payment processor (Dodo Payments); we receive subscription status and billing metadata but never see or store your full card number.
Technical data
Like most web services, we automatically receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and device information, and we use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to apply rate limits that protect the Service from abuse.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service and its features.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To enforce plan limits, process payments, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To respond to your support requests and communicate service-related notices.
- To diagnose problems and improve the reliability and quality of the Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content you submit to train AI models.
3. AI processing and service providers
To deliver the Service we rely on a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting (your account, saved documents, and usage records).
- Our AI inference service — the text you submit is sent to our self-hosted model service to generate the humanized output or detection score. It is used only to produce your result and is not retained to train models.
- Dodo Payments — payment processing and billing for paid subscriptions.
- Google — optional OAuth sign-in.
- Infrastructure and rate-limiting providers — hosting, content delivery, and abuse protection.
4. Data retention
We keep your account information and saved documents for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual documents at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Some records (for example, billing and transaction history) may be retained where required to comply with legal, accounting, or tax obligations.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us at support@icewrite.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to promptly address any incidents.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are under the age of majority in your location, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
8. International users
The Service may be operated from, and your data may be processed in, countries that may have data protection laws different from those in your country. By using the Service you consent to this processing consistent with this Policy.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
